SAT stands for me (Samantha Anne Thomas)

Golden Hour

Venimus, Vidimus, Vicimus.

Recently, I went to New Mexico to help assist Dan in the field with the active-living workshops.  Part of my assignment was to handle the camera, becoming a quasi professional photographer I shot the facets of people, New Mexico and the environment.

The camera, a tool for teaching a new way of seeing. A means of creating adventure by exploring the nature of humanity through a new lens. An ever expanding art and perhaps one day a way of capturing exotica.

I tried to emulate a saying Dan told me from his NatGeo days,

“Life Magazine will stand in flowerbeds to photograph garbage. We stand in garbage to photograph flowers.

En route to Santa Fe from Farmington, NM we pulled off the road to hike up this hillside to capture the illumination being cast by the setting sun on these unique desert rock forms.  A perk of traveling for work and having the zeal for the inquiry of place.
