SAT stands for me (Samantha Anne Thomas)

Spring Flight

Alarm clock sounding. 5:40 am.

The stars overhead showing off their last glimmer of brightness; the last moments of morning silence coming to a close. Synchronized the class began to flow; our bodies and minds awakening. With each sun salutation the sun began to light more and more of the surrounding environment.

Inhaling. Exhaling.

Feeling your ribs expand with each inhale, with each exhale moving inwards towards your back-body, as if flapping like the wings of a bird. Grounding down into the earth, on last moment in corpse pose, morning bird’s songs filled the room.

The seed to our individual days planted. Feeling lighter and refreshed in creative rejuvenation from being apart of the movement through the first week of spring.
